ABOUT AIFSSCB

Aims and objects of the society, for which the same is established, are as under

i) To promote and develop sports along with Fire Service Meet activities and to formulate and implement plans for the promotion of sports and improvement of standards of sports and Fire Service Meet in all the fire services in India in synchronization with the Sports Policy of the Government of India.

ii) To implement the existing schemes for the promotion of sports and Fire Service Meet, for improvement of standards in all the fire services in India in sports and Fire Service Meet, as may be entrusted to it by the Government of India or other bodies from time to time.

iii) To initiate, undertake sponsor, stimulate and encourage research and development of sports and Fire Service Meet.

iv) To plan, develop, acquire, take over, manage, maintain and utilize sports infrastructure, sports facilities and ancillary buildings, playfields, stadium, land, etc. in all the states, UT's of India with prior permission from the concerned Government.

v) To hold, sponsor, organize, manage and arrange, on its own and to offer officials for tournaments, coaching camps, exhibition matches, other sports activities and Fire Service Meet purposes, and also to organize, including but not limited to social and cultural activities in the interest of sports or benefit of sports persons or otherwise in furtherance of these objects.

vi) To hold, sponsor, organize, manage and arrange, its own and to offer officials for tournaments, coaching camps, exhibition matches, other sports activities and fire meet purposes, and to organize, including but not limited to social and cultural activities in the interest of sports or benefit of sports persons or otherwise in furtherance of these objects.

vii) To constitute or cause to be constituted sports complexes and Fire Service Meet centers at convenient places in all the states of Government of India to promote sports and Fire Service Meet activities.

viii) To provide and give technical and other assistance of sports equipment, sports facilities and expert guidance to organizers for the organization and conduct of State, National and International tournaments.

ix) To provide education, training and facilities for imparting advance coaching in various Fire Service Meet activities, yoga, sports and public awareness campaigns.

x) To take steps for the welfare of sports persons, sports officials and to run benevolent schemes for active veteran and retired sports persons or officials, including coaches working or retired from fire services.

xi) To provide and give technical and other assistance of sports equipment's, sports facilities and expert guidance to organizers for the organization and conduct of State, National and International tournaments.

xii) To co-ordinate, co-operate and liaison with Government of India, Sports Board of India, Sports Councils, Indian Olympic Association, National Sports Federations and other similar District / State and National Associations or bodies, in matters relating to sports and games and other allied subjects.

xiii) To develop and provide consultancy services for the planning and development of sports facilities and in the organization and conduct of Fire Service Meet championships.

xiv) To support and advise the authorities on all matters relating to the promotion of sports and Fire meets and improvement of standards which may be referred to it by the Government and other authorities.

xv) To organize seminars, conferences, etc. in the field of sports, Fire meets and allied matters.

xvi) To undertake, sponsor and encourage publication of sports- journals / literature.

xvii) To institute, offer and grant, prizes, awards, scholarships and stipends in the implementation of these objects

xviii) To accept and collect donations, grants and gifts and to undertake management of any endowment or trust fund and to make donation grants and gifts for the purposes of these objects.

xix) To borrow and raise monies, with or without security or on security of moveable and immovable properties, belonging to the Society provided that the prior approval of the Government of concerned state is obtained in that behalf.

xx) If, on the winding up or dissolution of the Society there shall remain, after the satisfaction of all the debts and liabilities, any property whatsoever, the same shall not be paid to, or distributed among the members of the Society or any of them, but shall be dealt with in such manner as the Government of India may determine.

xxi) To acquire, undertake to enter into and carrying into effect any arrangement for joint working or for amalgamation or merger with any other society, person, group of persons (whether body incorporate or not) carrying on activities within the objects of the Society.

xxii) To promote the physical fitness, to plan all round development of all (recognized) sports and Fire Service Meet activities in all the Fire Services, to inculcate discipline to build character, to promote team spirit and patriotism through the Fire meets and to foster a spirit of comradeship among participants.

xxiii) To inculcate sports and Fitness consciousness amongst the masses for regular participation in Fire meets and sports and to make all fire service's healthy and strong.

xxiv) To raise the performance standards in Fire meets and sports and in the process to win medal/positions to earn a place of pride in National / International Sports competitions and Fire meets.

XXV) To aid and support by means of grants, loans, subsides or other assistance whether monetary, non-monetary, any sporting activity by any State level Sports Associations or by the National Sports Federations or by any International Sports body.

xxvi) To do all such other acts and things incidental to the objects aforesaid as may be required in order to further the objects of the Society.

xxvii) To do all such acts and things as the Society may consider necessary, conducive or incidental to the attainment or enlargement of the aforesaid objects or any one of them.

xxviii) All the above mentioned activities as mentioned in the memorandum of Association (MOA) as required will be carried out after obtaining necessary approval / NOC permission from concerned department of the Government.

xxix) The income and property of the Society, however, derived, shall be applied towards the promotion of the objects thereof as set forth in this Memorandum of Association subject nevertheless in respect of the expenditure on grants made by the Government of concerned state and Government of India, on such conditions or limitations as the Government of concerned state and Government of India, may, from time to time, impose. No portion of the income and property of the Society shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, or otherwise howsoever by way of profit, to the persons who at any time are or have been members of the Society or to any of them or to any person claiming through them or any of them provided that nothing therein contained shall prevent the payment in good faith, of honorarium to any member thereof or other person in return for any service rendered to the Society.

xxx) That this society shall not undertake the activities of promoting housing projects. Advertising for induction of members and collecting money in the garb of cost of agricultural land to be purchased by this society for participation in the Land pooling Police of DDA.

xxxi) That this society shall not undertake any commercial activity such as purchasing land from money collected as contributions received from the members; constructing apartment; houses or other real estate projects; selling, leasing or maintenance of apartment complexes or to her such real estate ventures.

Any person working in the field of Fire and Life Safety Services can be enrolled as a member, if he/she subscribes to the aims and objects of the Society, on payment of requisite, subscription fee as specified in these rules.

a) Where a person becomes a member of the Society by virtue of his office or appointment which he holds his membership of the Society shall terminate when he ceases to hold that office or appointment.

b) If any member, wish to contribute to the objectives of the board, even after their retirement, they shall have this privilege, with the approval of the Convener and the President.

c) The membership of the Society shall automatically stands terminated, on the happening of any of the following events, namely:

(i) on expiry of the period of membership:

(ii) death; and

(iii)When a member himself or declines to serve the Society or his employer refuses to grant him permission to serve the Society.

d) Any member/office bearer of the Society may resign from the membership of the Society by giving a notice to that effect and his resignation shall be effective from the date of its acceptance by the President.

e) The Convener and President shall have a right to remove a member, if the member:

(i) Remains absent during three consecutive meetings of the Society or the Executive Committee without proper leave of the President of the Executive Committee;

(ii) Becomes insane or suffers from contagious disease or becomes insolvent or is prosecuted for any criminal offence involving moral turpitude.

(iii) Does not comply with bye-laws of the Society in the capacity of a member of the Society.

Admission Fee & Subscription

Admission Fee and Subscription shall be as under unless otherwise revised by the

Governing Body of the Society:

(a) Honorary Membership: Nil/-

(b) Life Membership Rs. 5,000/-

(c) Membership Fee Rs. 500/-

(d) The Membership Fee is liable to be changed as per the decision of the Convene and President of the board, at any time Initially a Subscription fee of Rs. 5000/- each shall be borne by Life Members & members of Governing Body.

Types of Members

The board shall have 03 types of members i.e. members, life members & honorary members. The Governing Body of the Board shall be at liberty to take decision in matter of Membership Fee, type of membership, conduct of any event such as games, fire meet, awareness program, sport training program etc. through virtual or physical meetings with the Governing Body.

TERMINATION OR CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP

General Secretary, with the approval of the Convener and The President of the Board shall have powers to expel/terminate a member or/and members, from the membership of the above Society, on the following grounds:

(a) on death,

(b) on written resignation,

(c) if found to be involved in any anti social activities,

(d) if adjudged by any court of law to be a criminal offender or of unsound mind,

(e) if found guilty by means of anti propaganda of Aims and Objects of the Society,

(f) if fails to pay the subscription of contribution within three months from due Date,

(g) if has not attended three consecutive meetings without proper intimation,

(h) if disregards Rules & Regulations or disobey the decisions of Society.

NOTE: The decision of the Governing Body regarding the termination from the membership
of the Society, shall be communicated to the member concerned.

GOVERNING BODY DEFINED

Members with Life Membership of the Society will constitute the Governing Body of the Board.

FOUNDER MEMBERS

Members of First Governing Body/Executive Committee and Desirous Persons at the time of registration of the Society shall be known as Founder Members of the Society.

PATRON OF THE SOCIETY

Governing Body have right to appoint any distinguished/eminent persons(s) as the Patron(s) of the Society, from the time.

GOVERNING BODY

(a) NOTICE:- Minimum '15' days notice shall be given to the members, before the Date of Governing Body Meeting, enclosing agenda specifying Date, Time, Place and issues to be discussed.
(b) MEETING:- Governing Body Meeting shall be held once in every year regularly.
(c) QUORUM:- Quorum of General Body Meeting shall be 2/3 (two third).

MEETINGS OF THE GOVERNING BODY

(a) The Annual General Meetings of the Society shall be held on such date, time and place as may be determined by the President to transact the following business:

(i) Consideration of the Annual Report of the Society;

(ii) Consideration of the Annual Accounts of the Society together with the audited
report thereon; and

(iii) Other business in the agenda.

(b) The President may convene a Special General Meeting (Urgent GBM) of the Society,
whenever he thinks fit but on the written requisition of not less than ten members of the
Society

(c) At all Special General Meetings, no subject other than that stated in the notice given by the General Secretary or in the requisition made by members, as the case may be, shall be discussed except when specially authorized by the President.

(d) Any requisition so made by the Members of the Society shall express the object of the meeting proposed to be called and shall be left at the address of the General Secretary.

(e) All meetings of the
Society shall be called by notice in writing by and under the hand of the General Secretary.

(f) Every notice calling a meeting of the Society shall state the date, time and place of the meeting and shall be served upon every member of the GB before the day appointed for the meeting.

(g) Any inadvertent omission to give notice to or the non-receipt or late receipt of notice by any member shall not invalidate the proceedings of the meeting.

(h) The President shall preside over all meetings of the Society. In his absence, anyone of the Vice-Presidents shall preside over the meetings of the Society. In the absence of the President and the Vice-President, the members present shall choose one from amongst
themselves to preside over the meeting.

(i) Two-third of the total members of the Society present in person shall form a quorum at any meeting of the Society.

(j)Each member of the Society shall have one vote. Proposal or subjects presented for consideration by the Society shall be deemed to have been passed, if a majority of the members present at the meeting vote in their favor and if the votes are equally divided, the President of the meeting shall exercise his casting vote.

(k) All disputed questions at the meeting of the Society shall be determined by vote of the members present and voting.

(l) No resolution of the Society shall be modified or cancelled within three months after the passing thereof except at a meeting, specially convened in that behalf and by a resolution of the Society supported by not less than one-half of the sanctioned number of members.

RIGHTS & PRIVILEGES OF THE MEMBER

All and every member of the Society:

(a) shall be entitled to participate in meetings, cultural/educational functions and other lawful gatherings, called/arranged by the Society,

(b) have right to collect the Identity Card after depositing the required/prescribed fee (fixed by the Governing Body of the Society from time to time).
